About The Fan Experience Company
Born in 2005 out of a belief that the ‘customer perspective’ was capable of helping sport not only to improve fans’ experiences, but also to help sport to develop a fan-focused culture, the Fan Experience Company exists to support sustainable growth in football.
Since then we have developed unique services aimed at creating attendance growth solutions in every part of our beloved sport: from grass roots to international matches, from the elite to the lower league and from men’s football to the women’s game, with all of its amazing possibilities.
6 million more children are now enjoying EFL football since we first designed the Family Excellence programme in 2006/07. These unprecedented results and the innovative approach designed to achieve them have now twice been recognised: in 2013 with the European League Best Practice Award and then again as recently as June 2018 with the Sports Business Awards Best Fan Engagement™ Award.
In 2019 the EFL confirmed that it had achieved its highest aggregate seasonal attendance since 1959.
Our roots are in the football of northern England, but we now work proudly across Europe honouring the different cultures and opening up practical effective solutions when before there were none.
In 2019/20, we assessed the match day experience at over 300 matches across 13 countries, as well as supporting improvement, engagement and attendance growth projects in men’s and women’s football at all levels.
