The annual programme scores clubs twice a season for their family experience at stadia on matchdays, with a ‘Gold’ standard being awarded to those with particular excellence. In 2021-22, a record 65 of the 72 EFL Clubs have achieved Family Excellence status with 12 being awarded Gold status.

Visits take place on an undercover basis with scores awarded for various matchday touch points including first impressions, retail, travel, social media and refreshments. 

In our curtailed first League Two campaign in 2019-20 we were given an overall score of 5/10 which was 22nd in League Two and 69th in the EFL. Our first visit of the 2021-22 season was awarded 6/10 and placed 23rd out of 24 in League Two, but our second came in at 8/10 which was 14th. 

This season’s overall score of 6.7/10 qualifies us for Family Excellence status for the first time, placing 56th out of 72 in the EFL and 20th in League Two.
