Wrexham fans draw up wishlist and messages for Hollywood stars

IT’S the start of a new era at The Racecourse and Wrexham supporters have drawn up their wishlist when Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney complete their takeover.

Fans are over the moon that the actors have chosen Wrexham and believe that their financial investment can lead to a bright and successful future.

Redevelopment of the Kop stand, to make the stadium four-sided once again, is something supporters hope will come to fruition under the actors.

On the football side, fans would like to see changes with the aim of finally getting promotion back to the Football League.

SUPERSUB: “Best of luck with it all. You are now custodians of the greatest football club in the world. Go easy with her, she’s a beautiful girl. Awake the sleeping giant, unlock the potential and listen to the fan base (some are nutters). Above all, enjoy, we are going on an epic ride!!!”

RICHARD MORRIS: “Fans. Club. Town. The fans are the lifeblood. The Club epitomises our love, our passion and our belonging. In the end it’s all about Wrexham, our Town, some of us stay, some of us move away yet it’s all our beating heart. Thank You both.”

LIQUID: “Develop infrastructure to take the club to the next level. A return to youth players, local players, making the grade and writing themselves into history. Celebrity endorsement is a double-edged sword. Let’s keep ourselves grounded and get the important things right.”

BREEZY: “Get them feathers off the badge.”

PETER JONES: “Start with a new management team who will set up the team to attack the opposition from the first whistle and get players in who do not hoof the ball up field aimlessly and wide players who can beat opposition defenders.”

TERRANCE: “First, a manager with the tactics, experience and a burning desire to get us back in the Football League. A kop with standing/seat barriers. Then a team with flair and excitement. The fan catchment area for this club is huge, play with style and passion and they will come!”

"Our history tells the story, so it would be great to at least get out of this league and be a part of history in the making."

MR DIGS AND CO

HONEZ: “Ongoing pay-per-view for matches (offline) for overseas fans to watch (1-3am is killiin’ me) a few hours later.”

STEPHEN K DAVIES: “League no matter what !!!!! and the Kop rejuvenated.”

CHRIS WRIGHT: “Sort the Kop out and make us proud.”

GARY: “New management team from top to bottom is a start.”

JOSH DAVIES: “Long term, I’d love the chance to stand on the Kop again. But for now, success on the pitch is imperative. Bring in some quality players and coaching staff to establish ourselves in the football league where we belong. That’s all I want.”

JEFF LAING: “Keep to community values and principles. Provide good disability facilities. Ensure supporters are updated regularly on future developments. Sort out the Kop. Decent web site.”

JONA DEVITT: “I’d be happy with a better live stream at the moment. Virtually every other I’ve bought has had at least replays, some even better with different angles and an actual camera man. No shortage of them with the documentary being filmed!”

TONY WHILDING: “The building of the infrastructure is just as important as on the pitch, it needs to mirror their ambitions. It’s easy to throw money at players but it’s vital we do things right from training facilities, keeping in touch with the local community and investing in our own youth.”

TEX RED: “Do they intend bringing a new coaching team in, to either support the existing manager or as part of a new management and coaching team?”

DECLAN: “Short-term a change in the management structure and stream quality. Mid to long-term we should be challenging for the league no questions asked.”

RICHIE: “New management team & 2 x Strikers who can score 20+ goals each!”

DEJA: “Director of football please… Get this show on the road.”

JOE: “New management team will do.”

THOMAS GOOSEY: “20-25 a season goalscorer. Attacking football. Players coming through the youth system to challenge first team. Sort the Kop. Unearth some new gems from Trinidad & Tobago, Rhyl or Sunday League. Get out this bloody league.”

PAUL EDWARDS: “A new management team is imperative. A good win against Dover, but the fear is always there that following every promising step forward, a seemingly obligatory 2 steps back is never very far away.”

OWAIN: “Good results are what brings fans in, and to achieve that we need the right management team in place. Promotion to the EFL is the number one priority, but beyond that I would love to see us build a top quality training facility and make much needed improvements to the ground.”

DICKIE: “New management team please. Get sexy football back at the Cae Ras.”

TOM BLACKMAN: “Replace Keates with Eddie Howe.”

MATT RICHARDS: “New Management team with a long term vision with Lower/Non league League knowledge. Players on longer contracts so we can build a settled team. Demolish the Kop ready for a rebuild. League 2.”

LIAM BRAISDELL: “Keates gone is the first thing that should happen.

JAY WATERHOUSE: “Just the smiles back at the Racecourse would do me. Been very negative past couple of years. Sort the Kop out. Oh and buy a attacker who knows where the goal is and someone to feed him the goals.”

LEE ELLIS: “New management team in asap and leave the team. If we make play-offs this year it’s a bonus, not worth throwing money at Jan players in this league as they are only on the market because they’re not needed or wanted by their clubs. Get good scouts in looking ready for summer.”

TRACEY SMITH: “If you build it they will come. New management team, once we build a good strong squad and start to win games, the crowds will flock back. History only tells the story, we’ll be here to see the glory.”

RICHIE VARKER: “A CEO who can grab the club by the scruff of the neck & make it more professional!”

SION PARRY: “Without doubt a new management team please.”

CRAIG DAVIES: “Short term – CEO, new management, new players, train at Colliers, get out of National League. Long term – new Kop stand, sort long term training ground, sort out youth system, aim for League 1 within 5 years.”

PAUL: “Biggest would have to be a change in the managerial team. Keates was another one of Spencer Harris’ poor decisions to take the helm at the club. Made some great signings but lacking in getting the best out of them. The Cowleys have been mentioned but would they drop down again?”
